Amy Adams, born August 20, 1974 is an American actress and singer. Amy Adams started career on stage and had her screen debut in the 1999 in the  film Drop Dead Gorgeous. After a series of roles in B movies, she landed the role of Brenda Strong in Catch me if You Can. Her breakthrough role was in the 2005 in the film Jundebug, playing Ashley Johnsten. For this role she received critical acclaim and an Academy Award nomination for the best supporting actress.
